You take some photos, write some captions, and turn it in, right? Well, yes, but wait, there's more! This tutorial is a behind the scenes training on how to make a yearbook spread, regardless of the type of computer you use or the program you use to create the pages.

What People Want

Everyone wants you to make sure this book is better than before, that they are in it, and that their names are spelled correctly! To help these goals become a reality this online training has been put in place. We work from the first day of school right through to the day the books are handed out to eager students at the signing party. So, becoming a publishing professional as quickly as possible at the start of school is essential!

The Structure

Seven units are listed across the top of the screen, starting with Vocabulary and ending with Submitting pages. Each unit has four subunits which will be listed on the left of the page and look like this:

Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: http://www.rivertonhigh.com/bcox/images/sidenavbar.pngThe Overview subunit will give you needed information you are required to read or listen to. Examples will be provided to help clarify the information. Some will be good examples and some will be bad examples, so be careful which ones you follow! The Practice sub-unit will be some sort of exercise to help you develop the skills you need and the Homework sub-unit will be your assignments to accomplish and turn in.

Before you begin, a pretest will be taken. After you are done with all the units, a more complete post test will be taken. After you take the pretest, you may begin the rest of the training, starting with the Vocabulary Unit! Enjoy.
